Assistant is a personal AI assistant provided by Babrains ("Assistant", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can reach us any time at support@babrains.com.
1. Information We Collect
When you connect Assistant to your Google account, we receive the information you authorize, which may include:
- Email data: message content, senders, and metadata from your inbox, so Assistant can remove spam, summarize threads, rank messages by criticality, and surface those that need your attention.
- Calendar and task data: event and reminder details, so Assistant can remind you of important tasks and events.
- Workspace data you connect: code commits, issue tracker tickets, and chat messages from services you explicitly connect, so Assistant can monitor them for urgent items.
- Account information: your name and email address from your Google profile.
- Feedback you provide: corrections and preferences you share so Assistant can handle your email the way you want.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Assistant service: triage, summarize, rank, remind, and monitor.
- Learn from your feedback to improve how Assistant handles your mail.
- Maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Communicate with you about the service, including support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models.
3. Google User Data — Limited Use Disclosure
Assistant's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In practice, this means Google user data is used only to provide the features you see in Assistant. We do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security investigations, or as required by law, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate Assistant (such as hosting and AI processing providers), under contractual obligations to protect your data. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide Assistant. You can disconnect Assistant from your Google account at any time in your Google account permissions settings. You may also email us at support@babrains.com to request deletion of your data; we will delete it within a reasonable period after your request.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and strict access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you within the app or by email.
